Ready for a close-up.
This decoratively carved white pine mantel elegantly accentuates the already-stunning centrally located fireplace of a remote Keene Valley home. The forward face, built as a frame-in-panel, combines a number of 17th Century Early-American carving patterns in a repetitive, geometric layout. The mantel casework is constructed with through-dovetails for durability and visual appeal. The end panels of the casework feature floral S-scrolls, echoing the patterns found on the front frame. The mantel dimensions are approximately 6″D x 12″H x 60″L.
