Market Sign

Sign Process

In process- lines from the carbon transfer paper are still visible.

A large (28″H x 37″W) market sign of clear Adirondack white pine. Client-provided  logo transferred full-size from a printed image directly to the board. Low-relief router work to establish the text followed by handwork with a sharp chip carving knife to execute the cross-hatched grid. Relief painted with three coats of latex paint color-matched to the original logo followed by three sprayed coats of water-born polyurethane for crystal-clear, non-yellowing protection.
